My body and mind have been through enormous change since beginning the journey into motherhood almost 5 years ago. The biggest thing that has stuck out to me, and I am sure you as well, is the lack of help within the postpartum category of women’s healthcare. The amount of things I ended up Googling late night in that 4th trimester is astounding.
When does the village show up? Why aren’t there more resources?
One day, while I was nursing my son to sleep, I started thinking about a conversation I recently had with my friend. She had a newborn baby girl, and we were discussing the lack of support, education, and information out there for new moms. In short, we were wondering when this magical village was going to show up. That’s when the light bulb came on and the idea behind A Path Forward was born.
My mission: To empower women and cultivate community within the perinatal arena.
While A Path Forward offers lactation, fitness and nutritional services, we know there are gaps in postpartum healthcare outside of these services. We believe these gaps can become smaller through creating connections and community. A Path Forward aims to provide top notch references to local businesses that operate within the perinatal and women’s s health realm. We will help you navigate and find the best fit for the job and for YOU, so you feel empowered and ready to conquer the postpartum era.
