Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a CBS and an IBCLC?

Please click here to learn the details on the differences between a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist and an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant.

What is the difference between a Dietitian and a CNC?

Typically a registered dietician (RD/RDN) has specific college level education, licensing, and credentials; referring to oneself as a “dietitian” without appropriate credentialing is prohibited by the law. The RD is the only nutritionist that can diagnose and treat illnesses.

A Certified Nutrition Coach (CNC) or ‘Nutritionist’ typically has completed, at minimum, a certification program. CNCs work with individuals or populations to teach them about general nutrition, food and health. One of their focus areas is food behavior, which involves collaborating with individuals to create and implement meal plans that help improve the nutritional well-being of both that individual and their family.

Do you take insurance?

At this time, A Path Forward does not accept insurance nor are we able to provide a super bill for any services rendered. This may change in the future so please check back at a later date if this is a requirement for your provider.

Are you CPR Certified?

Yes. In order to become a Certified Personal Trainer, you must be CPR/AED certified. I am certified through NASM.

Can you show me your certificates?

Gladly! Please use the contact forum to submit your request.

Can I bring my kids/can they be present?

This will be on a case by case basis. I am a mom and understand the constraints we have with child care. We can discuss this more in your consultation.

What is your cancellation policy?

Again, I am a mom. I understand things come up and want to be flexible with you within reason. I request 48 hour notice of cancellation so I can reschedule you. If less than 48 hours are given, your first cancellation will be rescheduled, free of charge. Cancellations/no shows thereafter will result in forfeit of your session fee.
